bicycle and walking paths
The SCRD currently maintains 30 kilometres of bicycle and walking paths in Areas A, B, D, E and F on the Sunshine Coast. These paths help meet the community’s needs for recreation and alternative transportation. Here is a map showing each of the boundaries for the electoral areas and municipalities.

Being a safe cyclist:
If you are a cyclist, you are responsible for sharing the road.
- Be predictable and follow the rules of the road.
- Be visible and wear bright and reflective clothing. Ensure you have lights in the dark or poor weather.
- Ride defensively by being assertive. Think and look well ahead.
- Ride legally by wearing a bike helmet which are obligatory in BC.
